Raising of National Colors at Zons© Town Hall Sparks Patriotic Commitment

Kampti: The flag-raising ceremony was held Wednesday morning at the Zons© town hall, in the presence of administrative authorities, community leaders, and residents, gathered around the symbols of the nation. Unable to attend, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality, Wendinmi Fr©d©ric Ou©draogo, was represented by the Secretary General of the town hall, Zakaria Zongo, who read the message from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in his address, the President of Faso invited the Burkinabe to strengthen civic-mindedness, civic responsibility, and patriotic commitment in order to build a sovereign, dignified, and united Burkina Faso. The message highlighted the values of the popular and progressive revolution, including love of country, the pursuit of knowledge, and resistance to all forms of oppression. He also urged the population to promote endogenous development, the enhancement of local resources, and support for efforts to secure the territory.

To allow for a better understanding of the message's content, the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Zons©, Tobour© Yigo, provided the translation into the Bissa language. The ceremony was attended by the head of the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP) and head of the municipal Water and Forestry service, customary chiefs, young people from the municipality as well as public service agents.

This moment of reflection and national unity allowed us to reaffirm the commitment of the people of Zons© to the values of peace, social cohesion, and development.
