Doha: His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, received a phone call from Johann Wadephul, Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany. During the conversation, they discussed the ongoing military escalation in the region and its impact on regional and international security and stability.
According to Bahrain News Agency, both leaders expressed concern over the unjustified Iranian attacks targeting Qatar and other neighboring countries. They stressed the need to halt such actions, particularly those that threaten vital infrastructure related to water, food, and energy.
The Qatari Prime Minister emphasized the importance of reinforcing coordination and intensifying joint efforts to return to the negotiation table. He highlighted the necessity of prioritizing reason and wisdom to address the crisis, ensuring global energy security, freedom of navigation, environmental safety, and regional stability.
