Qatar Confirms No Abnormal Radiation Levels in Air or Waters

Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Qatar has confirmed that monitoring results from the National Radiological Monitoring and Early Warning Network have detected no abnormal radiation levels in the country's air or territorial waters.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry explained that the national network comprises both land-based and marine monitoring stations distributed across the country. These stations operate continuously to measure radiation levels and are supported by an early warning system that issues immediate alerts to ensure a rapid response should any irregularities be detected, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

The ministry added that it remains in close coordination with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s Incident and Emergency Centre as part of ongoing efforts to monitor and respond to any relevant regional developments.

Furthermore, the ministry urged all citizens and residents to rely on official sources for information and to disregard rumours or unverified reports.
