Public Security Deputy Chief highlights significance of training cooperation in enhancing competency

Public Security Deputy Chief Major-General Abdullah Al Zayed has inaugurated a workshop on humanitarian operations.

The opening was attended by Margaret Nardi, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy, and representatives of the US Navy Central Command in Bahrain.

The event is per the directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and follow up of Chief of Public Security Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan to develop training activities.

Organised by the US Central Command, in coordination with the Interior Ministry Training Directorate, the workshop is attended by officers from the ministry, Bahrain Defense Force, United Arab Emirates and the US Central Command.

The Deputy Chief highlighted the importance of training cooperation to enhance competency and said that the workshop aims to develop skills and exchange security expertise.

He thanked the U.S. diplomat and Central Command representatives for their interests in developing the skills of security officials.

The workshop covers lectures on humanitarian assistance, rescue cases and emergency and risk management.
