Public Security Chief Engages with University of Nottingham Dean on Future Collaborations

Manama: Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, recently hosted David Park, Dean of the Business School at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen Al Hassan emphasized the importance of the Royal Police Academy in the development and qualification of security personnel. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the overall performance of the policing system within the Kingdom.

The discussion between Lt. Gen Al Hassan and Dean Park centered on potential areas for academic and training cooperation. They explored the exchange of scientific and practical expertise, particularly in the context of advancements in artificial intelligence and smart policing applications. The meeting also reviewed joint programmes designed to bolster the capabilities of personnel within the Ministry of Interior and students at the Royal Academy of Police.

Dean Park expressed his admiration for the progress and standards achieved in Bahrain's security, educational, and training sectors, noting the Kingdom's commitment to continuous improvement in these areas.
