Manama: Lieutenant-General Tariq Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, received Jon McAdam, Assistant Chief Constable of Durham Police, and the accompanying delegation. The chief commended the fruitful partnership between the Ministry of Interior and Durham Constabulary, which has resulted in the launch of advanced training programmes and workshops. These programmes include training investigators, forensic science training, police leadership development, information collection, and analysis techniques. According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. Al Hassan emphasised that these initiatives align with the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, as part of the ministry's strategy to enhance the skills and capabilities of police personnel. The training covers various aspects of police and security work, particularly criminal investigations, including search and surveillance, crime scene management and preservation, evidence collection and documentation, suspect and witness handling, victim care, and the management of criminal and security information. The chief highlighted the importance of fostering cooperation to further develop police performance, enhance security work, and promote the exchange of expertise between both sides. McAdam expressed his appreciation for the ministry's efforts in developing police work standards and commended its achievements in building successful security partnerships. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Fawaz Al Hassan, Commander of the Royal Academy of Police; Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi, Director General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science; Major General Adel Ameen, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources; and Brigadier Mohammed Al Harram, Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training Affairs.
