Public Security Chief and City of London Police Commissioner Engage in Strategic Dialogue

Manama: Lieutenant General Tariq Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, recently engaged in a meeting with Pete O'Doherty, Commissioner of the City of London Police. This meeting took place as part of the second session of the Bahrain-United Kingdom Strategic Dialogue.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. Al Hassan highlighted that Bahrain's numerous security achievements are largely attributed to the support and guidance of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. The Minister emphasizes the importance of enhancing the security system by fostering cooperation with other nations, exchanging security expertise, and leveraging advanced experiences to address security challenges effectively.

The Chief of Public Security praised the enduring and evolving relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UK, particularly in policing. He noted that this relationship underscores the commitment of both nations to bolster cooperation based on mutual interests. Furthermore, Lt. Gen. Al Hassan acknowledged the City of London Police's efforts in ensuring public safety and their exemplary readiness, technical prowess, and training advancements, which serve as a model in modern policing.

The meeting also explored ways to strengthen collaboration and coordination in various security domains. Discussions included strategies to combat organized and transnational crime, economic crime, and cybersecurity threats. The dialogue reviewed the development of security capabilities and skills through specialized training programs and the exchange of expertise and experiences in security fields, all aimed at enhancing efficiency and preparedness.
