Public Affairs Minister Engages with Darah Delegation on Archival Cooperation

Manama: Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Public Affairs at the Royal Court and Director General of the National Archive Centre, engaged in discussions with Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al Samari, Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), and Turki bin Mohammed Al Shuwaier, CEO of the Foundation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring collaborative opportunities in the realms of archiving, documentation, and research programs. Presentations were held at various archival and historical centers, including the Royal Archive Centre, the National Archive Centre, the National Charter Monument, and the Historical Documents Centre in Bahrain. These presentations showcased the services offered by the centers, their strategic plans, and potential areas for partnership with the King Abdulaziz Foundation.

Post-meeting, the delegation visited the Isa Cultural Centre, where they examined its various departments and services, including those of the National Library and the Archive section. Dr. Al Samari praised the research and historical services accessible to the public and researchers, emphasizing the ongoing partnership between Darah and Bahrain's archival institutions, which underscores the robust relationship between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted Darah's significant contributions to preserving and documenting Saudi Arabia's heritage and history through advanced archiving technologies. He stressed the National Archive Centre's commitment to collaborating with Darah by adhering to scientific standards in archiving and leveraging their expertise to safeguard cultural heritage, thus fortifying the historical ties between the two nations across diverse fields.
