Tokyo: The Ministry of Works announced temporary lane closures as part of ongoing works to construct a new flyover connecting Janabiya Road with Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the traffic diversions will be introduced in two phases. On Sunday, August 24, 2025, two lanes on the eastbound route from King Fahd Causeway towards Manama will be closed for 24 hours, while two lanes will remain open to ensure the flow of vehicles.
On Monday, August 25, 2025, the slip road linking Janabiya Road to Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway for traffic from Budaiya towards Manama will be closed for 24 hours, with vehicles redirected to Mazarea Highway.
The ministry called on all road users to observe traffic regulations and follow diversion signs to help ensure safety and avoid congestion.
