The parliamentary Services Committee convened today under the chairmanship of MP Mamdooh Al Saleh, in the presence of the committee members.
The committee met with Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan Al Nuaimi, and the accompanying government delegation to discuss a draft law to amend some provisions of Decree-Law (47) of 2002 on regulating the press and publication (annexed to decree 77 of 2021).
The executive summary was reviewed alongside the opinion of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, the responses of the Information Ministry to the queries of the relevant parties.
The Services Committee comprises MP Mamdooh Abbas Al Saleh (the Chairman), MP Jalila Alawi Al Sayed Hassan (the Deputy Chairman), MP Luluwa Ali Al Romaihi, MP Dr. Mehdi Abdulaziz Al-Shuwaikh, MP Mohammed Jassim Al Aliwi, MP Mounir Ibrahim Sorour, MP Mohammed Rafeeq Al Husaini.
