Manama: A delegation from the parliamentary division participated in a virtual seminar organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union titled "Parliamentary Oversight of Artificial Intelligence: Early Experiences and Lessons Learned".
According to Bahrain News Agency, the seminar discussed ways to enable parliaments to access technical expertise that supports their legislative and oversight roles. It also explored methods for developing parliamentary research and study services in alignment with the rapid advances in artificial intelligence technologies and their growing role in parliamentary work.
The virtual seminar reviewed experiences and practices adopted by several parliamentary institutions to strengthen oversight of artificial intelligence. The participation reflects the parliamentary division's commitment to strengthening cooperation with international parliaments. It aims to benefit from successful experiences in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, reinforcing Bahrain's position as a leader in legislative innovation and institutional governance.
