Manama: The Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee at the Council of Representatives commended the efforts of the Ministry of Interior following the uncovering of a group linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the ideology of Wilayat al-Faqih. The operation highlighted the vigilance and professionalism of Bahrain's security authorities in addressing activities aimed at undermining security, stability, civil peace, and social cohesion in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continues efforts to strengthen the rule of law and institutions, protect national achievements, and safeguard security, stability, and social cohesion. The committee expressed support for the measures undertaken by the Ministry of Interior and security authorities to safeguard national security and stability and protect citizens and residents.
The committee further called for continued public cooperation with the relevant authorities and reporting of suspicious activities, stressing that protecting Bahrain's security is a shared national responsibility.
