Operations Director Chairs GCC Emergency Meeting of Crisis and Operations Officials

Manama: Colonel Hamad Al Khayyat, Director of Operations at the Ministry of Interior, chaired an emergency meeting remotely with officials responsible for emergency, crisis management, and operations rooms at the Ministries of Interior of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed the repercussions of the Iranian attacks targeting GCC states and its implications for the security and safety of citizens and residents across the region. Discussions focused on strengthening preparedness levels, enhancing mechanisms for security coordination and cooperation among the relevant authorities, and activating information-sharing frameworks with the GCC Emergency Management Centre.

The meeting underscored the importance of ensuring an efficient and coordinated response to various challenges and circumstances, in a manner that safeguards regional security and supports collective GCC action.
