Oman Explores Cooperation with Bhutan in GMC Smart City Project

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has explored prospects for cooperation with the Kingdom of Bhutan in the GMC investment project, its components, and future plans. The project is considered one of Bhutan's most prominent development initiatives. The project aims to establish an integrated smart city that combines innovation, sustainability, and a knowledge-based economy. It focuses on attracting investments in the sectors of advanced technology, education, healthcare, and hospitality.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this came during a meeting between Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, and the project team, in the presence of Liew Mun Leong, CEO of GMCA, the project developer. Both sides expressed a common interest in exploring opportunities for cooperation and partnership through the project.
