Oman and Kazakhstan Sign MoU to Enhance Financial Market Cooperation

Manama: Oman and Kazakhstan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation in financial regulation, expertise sharing, and the development of financial market infrastructure.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was signed by Abdullah bin Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of Capital Market Authority in Oman, and Madina Abylkassymova, Chairperson of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, during the Astana Finance Days Conference. The event, held in the Kazakh capital, gathered regulators, policymakers, and financial leaders to discuss prospects for global capital markets.

As part of the MoU, the two countries will collaborate on advancing the "Tabadul" platform, a regional initiative aimed at linking stock exchanges and facilitating cross-border trading. The initiative is expected to boost market liquidity, attract greater international investment, and strengthen regional financial integration.
