Manama: Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi, the Omani Ambassador to Bahrain, emphasized the significance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's state visit to Oman. This visit, which comes in response to an invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, is part of a series of reciprocal visits that aim to bolster the relations between the two nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ambassador remarked that these high-level visits are pivotal in opening new avenues for sustained cooperation, marking a significant milestone in the historical ties between Oman and Bahrain. The focus is on enhancing security, stability, and growth, reflecting the shared interests of both countries.
The ambassador highlighted the eagerness of both leaderships to develop bilateral cooperation and explore new partnership opportunities across various sectors. This initiative is aimed at promoting joint investment and trade exchanges, underscoring Oman's commitment to strengthening its partnerships with Bahrain.
He further noted that the alignment in visions and goals between the two nations is a testament to the strong relationship between King Hamad and Sultan Haitham, as well as the historical bond between their peoples. This visit is expected to deepen bilateral relations and advance cooperation in political, economic, commercial, developmental, and investment arenas.
Ambassador Al Busaidi explained that both leaderships are focused on enhancing economic partnerships in line with Oman's Vision 2040 and Bahrain's Vision 2030. This includes increasing investment cooperation and boosting trade exchanges, aiming to create a conducive investment environment that aligns with their shared ambitions.
He also mentioned the importance of the Bahraini-Omani Joint Committee, which symbolizes the enduring historical ties and commitment to expanding cooperation. The committee's regular meetings ensure the formalization of existing collaborations and the exploration of new opportunities, based on common geographical location, shared religion, Arab culture, and existing economic ties.
The ambassador concluded that the ongoing efforts by both countries aim to achieve comprehensive cooperation levels, serving the mutual interests of Bahrain and Oman and their peoples. The signing of agreements, memorandums of understanding, and executive programs further solidifies this bilateral relationship.
