Oil Minister Receives Regional Officials at Bahrain’s COP16 Pavilion.

Riyadh: On the sidelines of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP16), Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, and Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, received senior officials at Bahrain's pavilion. According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation included Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Qatar; Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority of Oman; Dr. Abdullah Al Sebaei, CEO of the National Centre for Waste Management of Saudi Arabia; and Sami Dimassi, Regional Director and Representative of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for West Asia. Discussions centred on fostering collaboration in environmental initiatives to promote sustainable development across the region. Dr. Bin Dainah also toured the exhibition held alongside the conference, visiti ng the pavilions of the GCC Secretariat General, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait.
