Manama: Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, engaged with Hussain Ali Al Qahtani, Chairman of the Gulf Downstream Association (GDA), to discuss the preparations for the GDA International Downstream Conference and Exhibition 2025 (IDCE 2025). The event is set to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from September 30 to October 2 at Exhibition World Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister acknowledged the efforts of the organising committee in preparing for IDCE 2025, emphasizing its significance in the refining and petrochemicals sector on both regional and international levels. He pointed out the continuous government support for such oil and gas-related events, which enhances Bahrain's global standing in the energy sector.
Dr. Bin Dainah highlighted that the event will feature participation from senior officials, specialists, technicians, and academics worldwide. He described it as a crucial platform for exchanging expertise, exploring the latest technologies, acquiring skills to boost productivity, and improving performance. The conference also aims to develop stronger ties between companies and institutions and support the growth and advancement of the refining industry by promoting innovative solutions to emerging challenges.
Hussain Ali Al Qahtani provided an overview of the conference programme, which includes high-level technical discussions, leadership sessions, specialised youth-focused academic activities, and a concurrent exhibition. The exhibition will feature major industry companies showcasing cutting-edge technologies, development studies, and effective solutions to industrial challenges.
