London: As part of the Ministry of Interior delegation's visit to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), and Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Customs, met with Phil Douglas, the Director General of the UK Border Force.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation was briefed on the future strategy, administrative structure, and duties related to border security operations. Areas of cooperation and joint coordination were also discussed.
Both sides agreed on the importance of exchanging future-oriented views and ideas on artificial intelligence systems, particularly in relation to the work of Customs Affairs and Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs.
