Manama: Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) at the Ministry of Interior, received a delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait, led by Brigadier Bader Al Shaya, Director of the Airport Security General Department at Kuwait International Airport. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in border security and improving procedures related to the regulation of entry and exit, aiming to streamline passenger movement and enhance the efficiency and security of services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman emphasized the strong ties between Bahrain and Kuwait. He reiterated the Ministry's dedication to strengthening cooperation, particularly in security and administrative areas related to border control, aligning with shared strategic objectives. Additionally, the importance of sharing expertise and successful experiences to bolster digital transformation and improve institutional performance was highlighted, aiming to enhance services for citizens and residents.
The Kuwaiti delegation conducted field visits to Khalifa Bin Salman Port, Bahrain International Airport, and the King Fahd Causeway. During these visits, they were briefed on the operations and the modern technologies employed in managing borders effectively.
This visit is part of the ongoing efforts to foster cooperation and coordination between the interior ministries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. The initiative seeks to promote regional security integration, support joint Gulf endeavors, and strengthen effective partnerships, especially in the realm of border security and the facilitation of related procedures.
