Manama: Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), met with participants of the 10th intake of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme. He emphasised that the programme reflects the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to develop national leaders who can achieve government excellence efficiently and competently. This initiative contributes to the comprehensive development goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Qaed highlighted that the programme serves as an advanced national model for investing in government cadres by equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills. This enables them to contribute effectively to the improvement of the government work system, aligning with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. He noted the importance of investing in national competencies, which is a key pillar of Bahrain's strategy, placing human capital at the core of national development.
Al Qaed stressed that the programme prepares leadership cadres capable of making data-driven decisions and addressing emerging challenges with innovative methods. He expressed his wishes for the success of the 10th intake and encouraged them to seize this unique opportunity to enhance their leadership and innovation skills to achieve the programme's goals.
Additionally, Al Qaed underscored the iGA's commitment to enhancing user experience through advanced digital solutions that simplify procedures, accelerate service access, and bolster public confidence in the digital government system. He mentioned that the iGA is actively implementing projects aimed at improving government performance by utilizing the latest technologies and fostering cooperation with both government entities and private sector institutions.
During the meeting, Al Qaed reviewed the most prominent strategic digital projects recently launched by the iGA, marking a qualitative shift in Bahrain's digital transformation journey. These initiatives translate the Kingdom's vision for digital transformation into practice, enhance government performance efficiency, improve service quality, and increase user satisfaction. Key projects include the "MyGov" app, the upgraded eKey, the enhanced ID card, self-service centres, and the Innovation Centre.
Participants of the 10th intake of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme expressed their appreciation to Al Qaed for his detailed overview of the strategic digital projects and his commitment to encouraging young talent, which fosters new opportunities for innovation and creativity.
