Manama: The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) has announced the availability of its services through the unified MyGov app, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The initiative was launched by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT).
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, highlighted that the integration of services into MyGov is a crucial step towards facilitating access for citizens and residents to government services. In its initial phase, the app provides several NPRA services, including passport and residency display services.
Collaborating with the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), more NPRA e-services will be integrated into MyGov to enhance accessibility and improve user experience. Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman explained that the application serves as a unified platform offering access to official government documents such as identity cards, passports, and birth certificates, along with government notifications and other services.
The MyGov app is a digital initiative providing secure, unified access to multiple government services. Integrated with the upgraded eKey 2.0 system, it offers a seamless and secure digital experience. In its first phase, the application includes 41 government services from nine entities, contributing to easier service access for citizens and residents.
Citizens and residents can download the "MyGov" app from the eGovernment App Store at bahrain.bh/apps for quick and secure access to government services.
