Northern Governorate and Family Microfinance House Explore Support for Small Enterprises

Manama: Ali Abdul Hussain Al Asfoor, Northern Governor, held discussions with a delegation from the Family Microfinance House, comprising Adel Abdulmalek, Chief Executive Officer; Abdullah Saleh, Senior Manager; Shereen Hussain, Manager of Credit and Risk; and Sana Salim, Operations Manager. The meeting included the Director of the Information Systems and Monitoring Directorate.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation to support and finance small enterprises. The aim is to empower low-income groups and foster individual initiatives and entrepreneurship. Additionally, the dialogue explored the possibility of implementing awareness programs within the summer initiative to guide youth towards future employment opportunities, particularly in artificial intelligence and modern technologies. These programs would be coordinated with the Ministry of Labour and target students aged 18 and above, equipping them with practical skills that meet the demands of the labor market.

The Governor reiterated the Northern Governorate's commitment to supporting initiatives that improve quality of life. He praised the Family Microfinance House for providing flexible financing solutions to citizens and supporting development and socially-oriented projects.

The meeting underscored the importance of institutional partnerships as essential to achieving the goals of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. These partnerships are seen as pivotal for advancing sustainable development and empowering both individuals and the community.
