Northern Governor Chairs Security Committee Meeting, Highlights Key Initiatives

Manama: Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, the Northern Governor, led the Security Committee meeting in the Governorate, with significant attendees including Brigadier Saleh Rashid Fahad Al Dossari, Director General of the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, and Brigadier Abdullah Ali Rashid Maanter, Deputy Northern Governor. The meeting focused on security measures and upcoming national celebrations. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Governor extended his congratulations to General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, on the successful graduation of three batches from the Open Prisons Programme. The Governor emphasized that the programme establishes a foundation for the Alternative Sentencing programme, aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He described this as a significant progression in Bahrain's human rights journey, reflecting the values of the current era. Al Asfoor highlighted Bahraini Police Day as an acknowledgment of the mini ster's and the personnel's efforts in maintaining law and order. He noted their contribution to safeguarding national achievements and aiding economic growth and development. The meeting also covered plans for the Kingdom of Bahrain's National Day, commemorating the founding of Bahrain as a modern Arab and Muslim state in 1783 by Ahmed Al Fateh, and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession. The Governor stressed the importance of partnerships with the private sector and community in celebrating these occasions. He underscored that effective security coordination is critical to the successful organization of festivities across the Governorate.
