Manama: Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Governor of the Northern Governorate, chaired the meeting of the Governorate Security Committee. Brigadier Abdullah Ali Maantar, Deputy Governor, and Brigadier Waleed Alboflasa, Deputy Director-General of the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, were in attendance.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Northern Governor commended the directives and vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, along with the follow-up actions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. These efforts reflect Bahrain's commitment to strengthening security and stability. Additionally, the Governor praised General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, for his remarks during a recent community meeting, which emphasized reinforcing community partnership and enhancing security and stability in line with Bahrain's national approach centered around communication and social cohesion.
The Governor highlighted the vigilance of security authorities and the role of Interior Ministry departments in maintaining security and public order. This is achieved through preventive and security plans designed to protect society and safeguard national achievements. The committee also discussed ongoing anti-drug awareness exhibitions in collaboration with relevant authorities. These initiatives aim to raise community awareness about the dangers of drugs and their negative impact on individuals and society, thereby strengthening preventive efforts.
The committee further emphasized the importance of forming a specialized team to oversee security and safety requirements at swimming pools. This initiative is part of supporting the Healthy Cities Programme and aims to enhance public safety, prevent accidents, and provide a safe environment for citizens and residents.
