North Korea Fires Multiple Unidentified Ballistic Missiles Toward Yellow Sea

Seoul: South Korea's military reported that North Korea fired multiple unidentified ballistic missiles toward the Yellow Sea.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) stated that they detected the launch originating from North Hwanghae Province in North Korea, though further specifics were not disclosed. The JCS emphasized that they have strengthened surveillance and are maintaining full readiness in close collaboration with the United States.

The missile launch coincides with the commencement of the annual large-scale joint military exercise, Freedom Shield, conducted by South Korea and the US. The two nations assert that the exercise is intended to bolster their joint defensive capabilities in response to North Korea's military threats.
