NIHR Chairman and UK Deputy Head of Mission Discuss Strengthening Human Rights Cooperation

Manama: Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, led by Fiona Walker Doyle, the Deputy Head of Mission.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Dr. Maha Al Shehab, Child Rights Commissioner. The Deputy Head of Mission extended her congratulations to the Chairman and the Board of Commissioners on their recent appointment through a Royal Order. She emphasized the UK Embassy's commitment to enhancing cooperation and coordination with the NIHR.

Al Derazi emphasized the ongoing strong collaboration between the NIHR and the British Embassy, particularly in areas concerning the protection and promotion of human rights. He stressed the importance of continued coordination and knowledge exchange to bolster joint efforts and further enhance bilateral cooperation.
