CBB Treasury Bills Oversubscribed by 140%

Manama: This week's BD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 140%. The bills, which have a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of these bills is August 27, with a maturity date set for November 26.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the weighted average rate of interest for this issue is 5.17%, a slight decrease from the 5.20% rate of the previous issue dated August 20. The approximate average price for the current issue was 98.710%, with the lowest accepted price being 98.702%.

This marks issue No. 2084 (ISIN BH0001501038) of Government Treasury Bills. With this issuance, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills has reached BD 2.110 billion.
