Manama: Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Professor Fahrettin Altun, Chairman of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Trkiye, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two institutions in the field of protecting and promoting human rights. Al Derazi emphasised the importance of exchanging expertise and best practices among national human rights institutions, in support of efforts to uphold human rights principles in line with international standards and to strengthen protection mechanisms and institutional empowerment.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Prof. Altun commended the role and institutional experience of the NIHR. He noted Trkiye's Human Rights and Equality Institution's commitment to expanding cooperation through exchanges, visits, and joint training programmes to advance shared humanitarian goals and strengthen regional and international partnerships.
