The General Directorate of Traffic has inaugurated the first technical examination centre for heavy vehicles affiliated with Y. K. Almoayyed & Sons Company. The opening was held under the patronage of Director General of the General Directorate of Traffic, Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa. It was attended by Director of the Directorate of Licences Col. Mohammed Mahmood, Director of Human Resources, Col. Mohammed Al Bin Khalil and representatives of both sides.
The centre is part of the Bahrain 2030 vision and the government action plan to associate the private sector in providing services. It is also part of the directives of the Interior Minister to assign technical examination services to the private sector.
The centre in Sitra could accommodate all types of heavy vehicles, while the technical examination services will continue to be offered in the building of the General Directorate of Traffic.
The General Directorate of Traffic asserted continuous cooperation with the private sector to provide and facilitate services in all governorates.
