Manama: The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has announced its bronze sponsorship of the Third Asian Youth Games (AYG), which are set to take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from October 22-31. The event will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the sponsorship agreement was signed by Yusuf Duaij, Chairman of the Executive Committee for the AYG, and Hesham Abualfateh, Chief Corporate Communications Officer at NBB. Duaij highlighted that NBB's sponsorship reflects its community partnership and national role, alongside its commitment to supporting sports in Bahrain. He stated that the collaboration aims to achieve the goals of the AYG and demonstrate Bahrain's capability to host major sporting events at a high standard. He also expressed gratitude to NBB for its ongoing support in advancing sports within the kingdom.
Abualfateh remarked that the sponsorship underscores the bank's commitment to supporting and empowering youth, as well as its dedication to national initiatives that benefit the community. He noted that the AYG serves as an opportunity to position Bahrain as a hub for sporting excellence and as a capable host for athletes and delegations from across Asia. He expressed hope that the bank's support would contribute to making the event successful and memorable for all participants.
