Manama:The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has introduced an enhanced version of its People Hub human capital management (HCM) system. This development, done in collaboration with Bahraini digital solutions provider RemoteApps, aims to improve human resources efficiency, data accuracy, governance, and the overall employee experience.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the upgraded platform integrates various human resources functions such as employee data management and analysis, rewards, productivity and performance management, employee engagement, talent development, and recruitment. It also offers self-service features for employees and managers, which simplifies access to information, reduces manual processes, and enhances reporting capabilities.
The project was a coordinated effort between NBB's human resources and technology teams and RemoteApps, encompassing requirements assessment, process alignment, system configuration, and data migration. Hend Mohamed Mahmood, Group Chief Human Resources Officer of NBB, highlighted that this transformation would bolster human resources service delivery while empowering employees with greater control over their daily requirements. She underscored the importance of maintaining governance standards and ensuring the system's adaptability to the workforce's evolving needs.
Dr. Hussain Nemati, Group Chief Executive of RemoteApps, emphasized the collaboration's demonstration of Bahrain's technology sector capabilities in delivering AI-powered solutions for financial institutions. He pointed out that the Bahraini-developed platform would improve human resources operations and support NBB's long-term objectives, showcasing the ability of locally developed technology to compete internationally.
The launch is part of NBB's broader human resources digital transformation program, initially starting with NBB and Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) and plans for further implementation across the Group's operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia in the upcoming months. This collaboration also highlights the contribution of Bahraini technology companies to the Kingdom's digital economy and the development of financial services technology.
