Criminal Information Directorate Streamlines Fingerprint Card Certificate Process

Manama:The Interior Ministry's Criminal Information Directorate has improved the issuance process for Fingerprint Card Certificates, aiming to simplify procedures for applicants and enhance electronic service delivery efficiency.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the upgraded service now allows processing to be completed within three working days. Key improvements include a 50% reduction in required documents, a minimum of 25% reduction in service-level agreement timeframes, complete digitalization of services, and enhanced user interface and experience. Additionally, application forms have been converted to electronic formats, and information is standardized across all channels.

Major-General Adel Abdullah Ameen, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources and Head of the Development and Procedures Standardisation Team at the Interior Ministry, highlighted that the enhancements reflect the Directorate's commitment to adopting digital solutions. These changes aim to simplify procedures, reduce time and effort, and eliminate the need for applicants to visit service branches or submit paper documents.

Furthermore, as part of broader government efforts, over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with 800 of these services undergoing development and re-engineering. These efforts are informed by feedback from the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), investor input, and mystery shopper evaluations, contributing to improved service quality and government digital transformation initiatives.
