National Guard Staff Director Reviews Naval Support Unit’s Readiness

Manama: Lieutenant-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, Staff Director of the National Guard, recently visited the Naval Support Unit located at the National Guard's Northern Sector camp. During the visit, he was accompanied by Major General Hisham Mohammed Al Thawadi, Assistant Chief for Administrative Affairs, and Brigadier Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief for Operations and Training.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chief of Staff received a briefing from the unit commander on the unit's tasks and responsibilities. The discussion focused on ongoing efforts to enhance operational readiness and training. Lieutenant-General Shaikh Abdulaziz also inspected the preparations and measures undertaken to fulfill the unit's assigned duties.

He emphasized that, following the directives of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, there is a continuous effort to modernize the National Guard's weapons and equipment systems. This modernization is aligned with both current and future requirements, ensuring the effective execution of the mission to safeguard the Kingdom's security and stability.

The Chief of Staff praised the personnel of the Naval Support Unit for their significant role in addressing security challenges within their area of responsibility. He observed a display of the unit's key naval equipment, weaponry, and systems, expressing appreciation for the high level of preparedness and combat readiness achieved.
