Manama: Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, the National Guard Staff Director, visited one of the sites of the joint command exercise “Hisn Al Watan 2026” this morning, Tuesday. The exercise is being conducted by the Bahrain Defence Force with the participation of the National Guard and the Ministry of Interior across various areas and governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain, from Jan. 26 to 28.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Assistant for Operations and Training, was present. Lt. Gen. Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud stated that the participation of the National Guard comes under the directives of His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard. This reflects his ongoing commitment to enhancing military and security cooperation and coordination between the National Guard, the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), and the Ministry of Interior.
The National Guard Staff Director noted that this initiative strengthens the efficiency of the national defence and security system to safeguard the nation and protect its achievements, under the reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Lt. Gen. Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud also reviewed field training and operational exercises, demonstrating command leadership in managing joint exercises and command and control methods to achieve the objectives of the exercise. He commended the level of efficiency shown by exercise leaders in executing all phases of the exercise and their integration in planning responses to various threats and risks, within the framework of the laws and regulations in force in the Kingdom.
