Manama: The National Charter Monument received a delegation from Applied Science University as part of efforts to promote national awareness and reinforce concepts of belonging and citizenship among students.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation toured the exhibition sections and viewed documents and historical artefacts documenting the Kingdom's civilisational journey under the comprehensive development process of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The delegation also learned about the National Action Charter, which received a voter turnout rate of 98.4%, with the participation of more than 220,000 citizens in the 2001 referendum.
The delegation was briefed on the stages of preparing the Charter, its objectives, and its role in establishing the foundations of the modern state and promoting the principles of participation.
