During the session, the Cabinet praised the speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, delivered during a visit to the Bahrain Defence Force's General Command on its 58th anniversary.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet emphasized the significance of the bilateral defence agreement between Bahrain and France, signed during King Hamad's official meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. This agreement marks a strengthening of defense ties following His Majesty's visit to France.
The Cabinet extended congratulations to His Majesty the King and the citizens of Bahrain on the anniversary of the National Action Charter. Additionally, the outcomes of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa's official visit to Kuwait were commended, with the Cabinet expressing gratitude to Kuwait's leadership and citizens for their hospitality.
The meeting also reviewed the market availability and price stability of consumer goods, acknowledging efforts by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the commercial sector, particularly during Ramadan.
Condemnation was expressed by the Cabinet for the terrorist attack on a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan, during Friday prayers. The Cabinet conveyed condolences to Pakistan's government and people, and wished for the injured's speedy recovery.
The Cabinet approved several memoranda, including a draft law amendment related to agricultural banks, a draft resolution for media and advertising licenses, cooperative initiatives with Morocco, and a joint declaration with UNIDO to establish a regional center in Bahrain.
The session also covered statistics on building permits, updates to social development priorities, and ministerial reports on various international and regional engagements, highlighting Bahrain's active role in global discussions and collaborations.
