Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, recently hosted Yousef Muhammad Bozboun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Coexistence of Religions (Ta'ayush). During the meeting, Bozboun presented the minister with a book highlighting the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in advancing tolerance, dialogue, and coexistence among various religions and cultures.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Mubarak highlighted that under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain has established itself as a global model of coexistence and harmony. This has been achieved by strengthening mutual respect, enhancing a culture of peace, and promoting dialogue among different religions and cultures, which reflects the Kingdom's civilisational and humanitarian image.
The minister praised Ta'ayush for its role in supporting religious coexistence and tolerance within the community. He also appreciated the book's publication, which underscores Bahrain's status as a beacon of tolerance, peace, and cultural and religious diversity on the international stage.
The meeting further explored various topics and reviewed key programmes and initiatives undertaken by Ta'ayush to promote understanding and rapprochement among different religions and cultures, contributing to national efforts to bolster social peace.
