Manama: The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, has unveiled plans to develop a new commercial and service market in Hamad Town. This initiative is set to transform a designated land area into a hub for essential services, catering to the urban development needs of the region.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, emphasized the project’s aim to address essential service requirements while supporting urban growth. The proposed site covers over 12,000 square metres and boasts convenient access from Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway. Eskan Bank will undertake the necessary studies to lay the groundwork for the project.
Abdulla Talib, General Manager of Eskan Bank, highlighted that the bank is in the process of preparing the initial concept for the project. He noted that this development would significantly contribute to meeting the needs of the residents in the surrounding area.
