Abu Dhabi: Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi-based investment company, announced its agreement to purchase a minority stake in Zelis, a leading provider of healthcare technology solutions in the United States. According to Bahrain News Agency, Mubadala is the lead investor, alongside a group of investors, with Parthenon and Bain Capital remaining the majority owners of Zelis. Mina Hamoodi, Head of Healthcare Investments at Mubadala, described this as its largest investment in the healthcare sector and its first significant step into payer and provider technology, which are priority sub-sectors within healthcare IT. Zelis is modernising financial systems in the healthcare sector by providing a connected platform that bridges the gaps and aligns the interests of payers, providers, and healthcare consumers. This platform serves more than 750 payers.
