Cairo: MP Mamdouh Abbas Al Saleh participated in a meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament, held in Cairo. The meeting was part of the closing session of the first sitting of the fourth legislative term of the Arab Parliament, focusing on reviewing the most recent political and humanitarian developments concerning the Palestinian cause.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom of Bahrain's participation in this meeting underscores its consistent support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. This approach is guided by a diplomatic vision that advocates for a just peace, rejects violence, and upholds dialogue based on principles of justice, mutual respect, and the rejection of unilateral solutions.
Al Saleh emphasized that the Palestinian cause remains central to the Arab and Islamic nation. He reiterated Bahrain's ongoing support for the Palestinian people across parliamentary, political, and diplomatic channels, reflecting the solidarity of the Bahraini people with Palestinians in the face of persistent violations by the occupying authorities.
Al Saleh urged enhanced Arab parliamentary engagement in defending Palestinian rights and for increased coordination with regional and international parliaments to mobilize political, legal, and diplomatic backing for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
