Manama: Khalid Saleh Buanaq, Member of the Council of Representatives, expressed full support for the remarks delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the media, stressing that they reflected the sentiment of the Bahraini people and embodied a firm national stance in confronting challenges, while reinforcing the principles of loyalty and belonging under His Majesty’s leadership.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Buanaq said that standing behind His Majesty the King is a firm and unwavering position, noting that Bahrainis stand united in defending their nation, its security, and its stability. He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain will remain strong through its unity, resilient against any attempt to undermine its security or infringe on its sovereignty, supported by the cohesion of its people and their alignment with the leadership.
He noted that the high level of readiness demonstrated by state institutions, particularly the military and security forces, reflects strong national competence and a sincere commitment to safeguarding the country, adding that these efforts are a source of pride for all Bahrainis.
Buanaq said that representing the people is a great trust, stressing that parliamentary responsibility requires members to serve as a voice for the nation and a guardian of its interests, not a tool that harms it or undermines its national principles. He added that loyalty to Bahrain and to His Majesty the King’s leadership is a fundamental principle that cannot be compromised.
He stressed that statements and positions expressed by some legislators that justify the actions of traitors represent a serious deviation from national responsibility and an unacceptable misuse of the parliamentary platform to harm Bahrain and its higher interests. He noted the need for careful selection of parliamentary representatives who represent Bahrain in international forums.
Buanaq added that defending traitors or justifying their actions constitutes a moral and national crime and represents an act of treason that contradicts the parliamentary oath. He stressed that those who betray their responsibility and violate their oath must be held accountable, noting that such actions must not pass without a firm stance that preserves the authority and standing of the legislative institution.
He concluded by expressing his wishes for the continued security and stability of Bahrain and its people, and for the Kingdom to remain safe under the leadership of His Majesty the King, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
