Manama: Hesham Al Awadhi, Member of the Council of Representatives, reaffirmed that the remarks of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa constitute a clear national framework that defines the position towards those who harm the nation or undermine its principles.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Awadhi said HM the King’s remarks carry clear messages that reflect awareness of the challenges facing the Kingdom. He added that they also express a firm public position rejecting any attempt to question national loyalty or tolerate those who step outside national unity. He affirmed that Bahrainis stand united behind HM the King’s leadership in confronting threats to national security.
He stressed that parliamentary responsibility is a national duty, not a privilege. He said that parliament members are entrusted with representing the people and defending their interests, not justifying treason or promoting positions that harm the nation. He added that those who deviate from this role lose the moral and political legitimacy to represent citizens.
Al Awadhi stressed that defending traitors or downplaying acts of treason, whether through statements or positions, constitutes a direct offence against Bahrain and its people. He called for firm action within the Council of Representatives and activation of parliamentary tools to hold accountable those who exceed their responsibilities.
He added that some actions by certain parliament members do not reflect Bahrain’s true image and harm its national interests. He stressed that using international platforms to undermine the Kingdom is unacceptable and requires a decisive response to protect the integrity of the legislative authority.
Al Awadhi commended the Bahrain Defence Force and security agencies for their efforts in confronting the Iranian attacks. He commended their high level of readiness and commitment to safeguarding Bahrain’s security and stability.
He affirmed that Bahrain remains strong through the unity and loyalty of its people. He expressed confidence in the Kingdom’s ability to maintain security, stability, and progress under the leadership of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
