MP Hassan Ibrahim Elected to IPU Youth Office Representing Arab Group

Tashkent: Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, Member of the Council of Representatives, has been elected as the representative of the Arab Group to the Forum of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), during the 150th IPU Assembly held in Uzbekistan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this marks a new milestone in Bahrain's parliamentary diplomacy. The announcement was made by the IPU Governing Council, following the Arab Group's endorsement of his nomination.

Ibrahim described his election as a recognition by both Arab and international parliaments of the active role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain's parliamentary division and the significant contributions of Bahraini youth in the legislative domain. He expressed pride in the selection, attributing the achievement to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He noted that the appointment reflects Bahrain's growing role in international parliamentary platforms and the efforts of its parliamentary division to advance legislative work. He added that his selection highlights the role of Bahraini youth in parliamentary progress, emphasising that Bahrain presents a strong model for youth empowerment and their involvement in decision-making and democratic processes.

Ibrahim highlighted that this achievement reflects the success of national efforts to prepare youth capable of representing Bahrain effectively on international platforms. He pledged to continue showcasing the accomplishments of Bahraini youth and sharing their success stories with young parliamentarians around the world, highlighting their role in the Kingdom's progress and prosperity.
