Manama: More than 20,000 volunteers have registered within the first hours of opening volunteer registration for the "Bahrain is Well Because You are its People" campaign through the National Volunteer Platform, reflecting the strong spirit of solidarity and shared responsibility that characterises Bahraini society.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the total number of registered volunteers has exceeded 20,000, including more than 14,000 Bahraini citizens and over 5,000 residents, in addition to the participation of more than 500 companies and institutions. This response highlights the strong sense of solidarity within Bahraini society and the readiness of individuals and institutions across various sectors to support national efforts.
This positive engagement reflects the community's enduring commitment to stand at the forefront in service of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It also underscores the Kingdom's continued efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthen volunteerism as a pillar of sustainable development and a reflection of national unity and solidarity.
The campaign offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities through the National Volunteer Platform, covering areas such as healthcare, engineering, logistics, administration, monitoring, and other specialised fields that are activated in line with national needs.
This approach ensures that national capabilities are effectively mobilised and that professional expertise can contribute to supporting national efforts. It also reflects a flexible institutional approach that enhances coordination between sectors and maximises the positive impact of volunteer work as an essential part of responsible national engagement.
The campaign also enables companies and institutions to contribute in various ways, ensuring that efforts are coordinated efficiently. Support may include supplies, logistical services, technical assistance, healthcare services, and other forms of support depending on evolving needs. This reflects the proactive role of the private sector in supporting national initiatives and serving the community.
At its core, the campaign conveys an inspiring message that Bahrain thrives through its people, and that the generosity of its citizens and residents represents the Kingdom's greatest strength.
