Manama: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has announced the opening of registrations for its 2026 "Ithra" Summer Programs, themed "Skills of the Future." The initiative aims to provide Bahraini youth with educational and developmental opportunities that align with evolving labor market needs. The programs target over 100 participants, including children, adolescents, and young adults, focusing on skills such as artificial intelligence, innovation, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, communication, and leadership.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the programs will run from July 6 to August 23 and include "Ithra Buds" for children aged 10 to 12, "Ithra Young Leaders" for those aged 13 to 14, "Ithra Youth" for ages 15 to 16, and the "Job Experience Program" for participants aged 13 to 16. These are designed to develop life skills, leadership capabilities, academic and career readiness, and professional exposure. Collaborations with specialized organizations and certified trainers ensure a comprehensive developmental trajectory for participants.
"Ithra Buds" aims to build core values, social skills, and self-confidence through interactive activities. "Ithra Young Leaders" emphasizes leadership, communication, and critical thinking. The "Ithra Youth" program focuses on AI workshops, entrepreneurship, and exploring academic and career paths, preparing participants for future challenges. The "Job Experience Program" offers real-world professional exposure to enhance career awareness.
Additionally, the programs include sports activities, field experiences, and practical challenges that encourage teamwork and personal growth. They align with Sustainable Development Goals by promoting quality education, empowering youth, and enhancing future skills, thereby preparing a generation capable of contributing to national development.

Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of MKF's Board of Trustees, highlighted the Foundation's belief in investing in human capital as essential for sustainable development.
