Manama: The Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This commendation follows the Kingdom of Bahrain's successful hosting of the 2025 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, alongside McLaren's victory in securing first place.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa praised the McLaren drivers and the team for their achievement, which includes clinching first and third place in the race. This marks McLaren's first win at the Bahrain International Circuit since the Kingdom began hosting Formula 1 in 2004.
His Excellency expressed his best wishes for McLaren's continued success in the remainder of the racing season. He noted that the results reflect McLaren's dedication to innovation and excellence.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted that this success is part of Mumtalakat's strategy to enhance its portfolio's performance for sustainable long-term returns.
