Tourism Minister, Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, has affirmed the major role played by tourism establishments in boosting the tourism sector in the kingdom, highlighting the importance of the concerted efforts within the various partnerships between the public and private sectors in achieving the goals of the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026.
While receiving the Chief Executive Officer of the “Southern Tourism Company”, Yousef Khalifa Al-Manea, Al-Sairafi renewed the support of the Ministry of Tourism for all tourism establishments in the Kingdom to enable them to improve their performance work and achieve their goals, as well as encourage them to integrate among them in order to diversify the tourism product in a way that contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the sector as a whole and attracting more tourists and visitors to Bahrain.
Al-Sairafi highlighted the keenness of the Tourism Ministry and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) to develop work paths with the private tourism sector establishments, as well as provide them with all necessary facilities and hold periodic meetings to listen to their views.
Yousef Khalifa Al-Manea affirmed the company’s keenness to work within the framework of the national strategy to develop the tourism sector as a whole in the Kingdom, and to achieve the aspirations of the Tourism Ministry to increase the contribution of the private sector establishments in providing an innovative product that meets the needs of citizens, residents, tourists and visitors.
He briefed the minister about the company’s strategy in providing services that keep pace with the requirements of the growing tourism market, in addition to placing the company on the map of regional logistics services, stressing his keenness to meet the aspirations of the tourism sector regarding the projects that the company seeks to implement in the current period by adopting an existing business model based on bringing about positive change and remarkable development in the sector.
It is noteworthy that the Southern Tourism Company is the official carrier and the long-haul maritime bridge linking the new marine tourism parts and the developed services.
The company is proud of extending these services for more than 20 years and ensuring the continuity of excellence in order to reach professionalism in the maritime transport sector, contributing to the enrichment of the tourism sector by providing high-quality marine services.
