Medical Ethics and Law Conference Commences with Prominent Attendance

Manama: Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), attended the opening of the Medical Ethics and Law Conference, organised by Primary Healthcare Centres in collaboration with Education Plus. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, along with senior health officials, legal experts, academics, and medical professionals.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah emphasised the significance of the conference within the context of Bahrain's evolving healthcare sector. He acknowledged the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in fostering such advancements.

The Minister of Health highlighted the importance of the conference in defining the complementary relationship between healthcare professionals and patients. She stressed the prioritisation of patient rights and safety, commending the Primary Healthcare Centres for their role in organising the event and facilitating a platform for engaging discussions.

Dr. Al Alawi described the conference as a crucial forum for dialogue on medical ethics, integrity, and professional responsibility. He noted its benefits for both patients and the broader healthcare system. The conference served as a venue for discussing medical ethics, promoting knowledge exchange, and providing recommendations to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and patient care.
