Magnitude 4.6 Earthquake Strikes Semnan Province East of Tehran

Semnan: An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck Amirieh village in Shahrood city, located in Semnan Province, east of the Iranian capital Tehran.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Seismological Center of the University of Tehran reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres on Thursday morning, as conveyed by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

The epicentre was recorded at longitude 54.84 and latitude 36.54 in Amirieh, Shahrood, in Semnan Province.
